Healthy breakfast oat milkshake

A super healthy twist on the classic milkshake. This one is full of fiber, nutritious and made with wholesome ingredients, but still super creamy, sweet and incredibly delicious. Enjoy it for breakfast, dessert or as a post-workout meal (you could even add a scoop of your favourite protein powder if needed).

Ingredients: (makes one big or 2 smaller servings)

  • 1/2 cup oats soaked in 1/2 cup warm water for at least 30 minutes (the water gets absorbed and it cools down, but thanks to using warm water your oats will have more creamy texture)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 medjool dates
  • 3/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla (powder or essence)
  • pinch of Himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp maca powder (optional)

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed until very smooth and creamy. Transfer to the jars or glasses and (optionally) top with coconut yogurt or whipped coconut cream, dark chocolate chunks and nuts. You can also decorate it with a drizzle of date or coconut syrup.
