Oat Crust Tartlets With Avocado Cream

Literally my favourite dessert. Or breakfast. Or anything. They are so perfectly delicious and healthy at the same time that you can enjoy them without any guilt. And they are filled with avocado chocolate cream, which I love to the moon and back and use in so many recipes. Give it a try and you'll thank me later!

Ingredients: (makes 3 tartlets)

For the crust:

  • 1 cup rolled oats (gluten free if necessary)
  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 4 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • pinch of salt
  • 1-2 tbsp cold water (if necessary)

For the cream:

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (or more to taste)
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup full fat coconut milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  1. Place oats and almonds in a food processor. Process until rough flour consistency.
  2. Add the rest of the crust ingredients (besides water) and blend until the dough is formed. Add cold water spoon by spoon if needed to make the dough come together.
  3. Divide dough in 3 parts and press into tartlet molds. Bake in the oven preheated to 180C for about 12 minutes or until the edges are brown and crispy. Let cool completely.
  4. Prepare the cream by blending all the ingredients until smooth and creamy. Taste and add more sweetener if needed.
  5. Fill the tartlets with chocolate cream, decorate with berries and coconut shreds. Enjoy!
